Basic Job Functions:

A Detailer (Draftsperson) is responsible for preparing joist and deck erection drawings according to project specifications and contract drawings using 3D software (Tekla). Detailers must be able to read and interpret structural and architectural drawings, specifications, and design requirements related to steel joist and steel deck. A Detailer must be able to apply this information to the preparation of approval submittal drawings, coordination of information between Vulcraft and our customer, and preparation of final drawings and bills of materials for release to production with all information necessary for correct product design and manufacture.

Minimum Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent

• Must be able to work overtime including weekends

Preferences:

• Experience in detailing joist and deck or structural steel
• Two-year technical degree or equivalent work experience
• Experience with Tekla 3D software
• Ability to read and understand structural and architectural drawings with specifications
