DAY TO DAY AS A JOB PREPARATION TRAINER
As a Job Preparation Trainer, you play a critical role in our nonprofit's mission of empowering individuals and helping them achieve their career goals. From the moment you arrive, you are dedicated to creating a positive and professional learning environment, setting up your classroom, and reviewing your lesson plans to ensure that you are providing effective instruction. You use your strong group facilitation skills to engage your learners, presenting content in a way that resonates with them and enables them to achieve mastery in critical job skills.
You also play a key role in providing job-searching skills, including resume writing and interview training. We understand that every learner is different, which is why we rely on our hard-skills trainers to be adaptable and able to work with learners of all skill levels. WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL
- 3+ years of experience in job readiness training, education, or a related field
- 1 or more credentials for training in hospitality, Child Development Associate (CDA) credential, Microsoft Office, IC3 (Digital Literacy), National Work Readiness Credential, National Retail Federation Certification, etc
- Covid-19 vaccination
A bachelor's degree or higher in adult education, education, human relations, psychology, social work, or a related field from an accredited institution is preferred. Bilingual skills would be a plus!
