General Purpose of Position

The IT Support Manager ensures proper level 1 and level 2 technical support across the ministry. This role will provide technical support, research, and consulting to various departments at Proverbs 31 Ministries in support of the effective delivery of P31’s biblical content.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage IT Projects by collecting and analyzing business requirements, estimating timelines and communicating with the product owners and implementation teams about assignments, key milestones and overall project progress.
• Monitor and maintain network routers, switches, access points, VPNs and firewalls.
• Troubleshoot networking issues with server, application and workstation endpoints.
• Deploy network device upgrades and security patches improvements.
• Monitor and maintain Windows and Linux server hosts and virtual machines,
• Assist with debugging, troubleshooting and UX testing web/software developer deployments.
• Research, test and deploy Wordpress Plugins, Shopify scripts, 3rd party add-ons as directed by web/software developers.
• Troubleshoot minor HTML, JS and CSS issues on web spaces and escalate issues to appropriate web/software developers as necessary.
• Research, build, test and implement advanced automated workflows using system GUIs.
• Provide basic data analysis, migration, transformation and visualization.
• Assist with audio and video production in larger events/content recording days.

Education & Experience

• An understanding of and commitment to the mission of Proverbs 31 Ministries.
• 5+ years of related technical experience.
• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field preferred.
• Relevant technical certification desired ie. CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Sonicwall, Ubiquiti, Azure.
• Experience in both hardware/software support and a basic understanding of web development.
• Experience working in a team-oriented, highly collaborative business environment.
• Superior critical thinking and independent problem-solving skills; the ability to analyze and solve technical problems using only internet resources alongside available trial and error scenarios.
• Excellent project management, organizational, communication and relational skills, as well as careful attention to detail.
• Strong understanding of network configurations, networking equipment and network administration.
• Working knowledge of Mac OS and Windows environments as well as Microsoft Office Suite of applications.
• A general awareness of web technologies such as HTML, CSS, Javascript, PHP & MySQL.
• Basic understanding of data frameworks, analytics, visualization, reporting, spreadsheets, and databases in general.

Physical Demands

• Ability to lift items up to 50 lbs such as podcasting and camera equipment, and ability to move and operate podcasting and AV carts.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time may be required.
