Primary Purpose of Position

Reporting to the Plant Controller, the incumbent is responsible to coordinate all moves, adds, changes to the network. Performs activities related to integration between manufacturing and Information Systems. Performs network maintenance duties, desktop support and other telecommunication support activities. Provides administrative support to comply with Meridian standards.

Major Responsibilities of Position

• Customer Support: Provides Tier 1 & 2 end user hardware and software support. Provides support for upgrading existing and integrating new manufacturing work centers into Meridian’s network. Installs new or updated hardware/software on end user PCs. Administers end users requests for software and hardware as per Meridian’s standards.
• Maintenance: Coordinates regular maintenance, backups and upgrades of computers integrated into manufacturing.
• Systems: Assists with machine integration between manufacturing centers and Plex, Meridian’s ERP platform. Co-ordinates move, add, and change activities relating to Information Systems.
• Other responsibilities as required, including special projects as they arise.

Work Environment

• Automotive manufacturing environment: shift work, i.e., five-eight-hour shifts for 40 regular hours per week with overtime as required.
• Production Environment: 50% of the time, includes exposure to industrial safety hazards, loud and sudden noises, hot/humid conditions. Extreme temperatures during the summer and winter months can be expected.
• Office Environment: 50% of the time, busy office with frequent interruptions and multi-tasking required; standard office equipment available.

Educational and Certification Background

Diploma or Degree in Computer Science. - Essential

A+, Network+, Microsoft MCP and/or equivalent certifications. - Essential

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,927.00 - $89,122.00 per year
