Position Title: PC Support Technician Department: IT
Reports To: Director of IT
POSITION PURPOSE:
Provides technical support in a Multi-Property Casino Environment. The support includes – troubleshooting desktop software and hardware problems, installation and upgrading of computer hardware and software.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Experience in a PC-based LAN/WAN environment and technical support in a Microsoft Windows environment (e.g. Microsoft Windows XP/7, 2003/2008 Server, Active Directory).
2. Experience with PC repair, networking and distributed computing concepts, including principles of TCP/IP network routing, and client/server applications.
3. Experience with Microsoft Office Software to assist end users with Word, Excel, and Outlook. Strong inter-personal, written, and oral communication skills with a focus on Customer Service. Ability to work in a fast-paced is a must, along with demonstrated ability to grasp new concepts and systems.
QUALIFICATION STANDARDS:
1. Must possess a valid driver license for remote site support.
2. Must be eligible and able to apply and register with the Nevada Gaming Control
Board.
4. Must be able to provide On-Call support and accept a flexible schedule.
5. Develops and maintains an understanding of network and iSeries for user support and troubleshooting.
6. 1-3 years experience required. Linux knowledge a plus, Certifications preferred but will weigh experience against formal training.
