Based in Las Vegas or Remote. Within the Caesars Entertainment Digital Products team, customer experience is at the forefront of everything we do. This leadership role is responsible for the architecture, design, and engineering of the Caesars Entertainment eCommerce profile & loyalty experience that enables guests and Caesars Rewards members to access and manage their Caesars Rewards member profile online.

This role leads a team responsible for breaking down and translating user stories into working code, which includes 1) estimating; 2) technical design & system architecture; 3) pair or ensemble programming; 4) reviews & testing; 5) deployment; 6) eCommerce Services infrastructure & stability.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering modern, immersive, and engaging full stack digital experiences and leading responsive web and react native app engineering.

Responsibilities

Day-to-day: Collaborate with a business partner to help direct a team of developers responsible for writing, debugging, and deploying code and APIs for the eCommerce services and front-end websites

Coaching: Provide leadership on efforts to research and resolve technical problems.

Get to Ready: Translate user stories into technical requirements to get to the team’s “definition of ready.”

Architecture: Ability to architect solutions that are in line with the broader digital products department.

Delivery: Continuous delivery of features and capabilities in concert with the team and stakeholders.

Communication: Actively engages to define, prioritize, and collaborate on the various needs of our customers.

Quality: Collaborate with the development team to design and deliver defect-free products to our customer.

People Management: Responsible for attracting, hiring, retaining, and motivating staff. Responsible for employee termination when necessary.

Project Management: Participating in defining and presenting system solutions, timelines, and costs for identified business needs and/or technical problems to management.

Collaboration: Successfully contribute in a cross-functional environment and negotiate workable solutions.

Support: Ensure the products are staffed for operational support and that the team responds to critical incidents within the allotted SLAs which may include having to work off hours when necessary.

Vendor Management: Manage & evaluate vendors for the area of responsibility.

Qualifications

3-5 years working in an agile software development team

1-2 years of full stack software development experience:

  • React and React Native framework
  • Javascript/HTML/CSS
  • C#, .Net, JAva
  • MSSQL
  • XML/JSON

Experience working on application architecture with a wide variety of third-party platforms, frameworks, and libraries.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to effectively present complex information clearly and appropriately handle sensitive information.

Deep curiosity in emerging digital trends and ability to translate into friction-less customer experiences

Proactive work ethic

Experience with and ability to work with other IT departments, including but not limited to Infrastructure and Cybersecurity.

Experience working with remote teams across multiple time zones.

Experience with Agile principles and frameworks

Able to foster open communication, while collaborating with others

Views critical feedback as a ‘gift’, an opportunity for improvement

EDUCATION

Bachelor's degree in business management or a computer science-related field or equivalent experience.
