IT Field Service Technician I

- San Marcos, CA. Frequent on the job travel throughout North County San Diego and Perris, CA, using a company provided vehicle.
Position Summary
The Field Service Technician I is responsible for providing on-site repairs, installation, and removal of IT equipment as requested via the IT Ticketing system. To be successful, the candidate for this position will possess a valid CA Driver’s license as well as the following skills: troubleshooting, time management, communication, excellent customer service.
Duties
- Install, upgrade, configure and troubleshoot computing and communication devices and peripherals.
- Perform on-site analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of PC problems and recommend and implement corrective hardware solutions.
- Provide on-site assistance to end-users with IT Equipment and peripherals.
- Educate end-users with necessary steps to recognize, isolate, and resolve common issues as appropriate.
- Engage in research and troubleshooting to determine the appropriate option to resolve technical issues.
- Use the IT Ticketing system (ConnectWise) to accurately document hardware failure, repair, installation, ordering, and removal, as well as important information and interactions with end-users, and solutions once issues are resolved.
- Apply security best practices.
Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent.

One to two years of experience installing and configuring desktop computer systems in a networked computing environment, and in applying diagnostic techniques for problem troubleshooting.

One to two years of customer support experience.

Availability to work occasionally outside of normal shifts (e.g., 8am to 5pm) and/or a rotational on-call M-F as late as 8pm and Saturday 7am-5pm.
Proficiency deploying and troubleshooting technical hardware.- Proficiency in the operation and use of personal computers; utilizing Windows 10, Microsoft 365 applications, and Internet browsers.

Associates degree in computer science, information systems or a related field. -
Experience in network troubleshooting, administration, and providing help desk support.

A+, Network+, or Security+ certification.

Experience administrating Active Directory accounts and assets.

Knowledge of M365 Admin Center and Azure Active Directory.
Licenses:
- Will be required to travel between all TrueCare sites and locations therefore California Driver’s License, proof of valid insurance and clean driving record required.
