Reporting to the IS Director of Technology, the IS Desktop Engineer will be the backbone of Information Systems operations at Emerson Health. The individual will be tasked with providing creative solutions to problems in the environment and creating clear documentation on these solutions. This role will be required to work with other teams in Information Systems to provide support with software implementation, troubleshooting, and project management at a high level where needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education:
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, or related specialty, or minimum of 3 – 5 years of experience in systems engineering or information systems related field.
  • Experience:
  • 2-3 years of experience with troubleshooting end user devices and software
  • 1 year of experience utilizing PowerShell in an enterprise environment
  • Experience managing and deploying software, as well as working within Active Directory
  • Licensure and/or Certification:
  • ITIL certification preferred but not required.
  • Skills:
  • Ability to function independently and develop direction for their area of responsibility.
  • Drive to learn and develop internal applications and processes.
  • Strong technical skills related to computer workstations, peripherals, and applications.
  • Ability to communicate on interpersonal and technical levels, verbally and in writing.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English.
  • Computer skills required.
  • Ability to maintain confidential information.
