We are seeking a skilled Irrigation Maintenance Technician for a fast growing lawn care company based in Melbourne, FL

Duties and responsibilities

Irrigation repair and maintenance for large scale commercial and residential properties.

• Perform site assessment Inspect equipment and inventory supplies.Install irrigation components, clocks, and other irrigation devices ensuring that they function efficiently.
• Troubleshoot and coordinate repairs of irrigation systems
• Repairing and maintaining valves, tracing electrical components, locating existing zones and valves
• Solve small sprinkler problems (wire valves, fix leaks, mend broken sprinkler heads) to make systems work properly
• Perform general and seasonal system maintenance
• Effectively assess water efficiency and make adjustments to quickly correct over or under watering
• Carefully follow all policies and best practices to ensure a safe work environment.
• Perform such other activities as may be temporarily or permanently assigned.

Requirements

• Familiarity with commercial and residential systems
• Must have license and clean driving record
• Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Must be dependable and able to perform duties with little or no supervision.
• Knowledge of all phases of irrigation including troubleshooting electrical problems
• Great interpersonal skills with people
• Good communication and organizational skills
• Minimum of 2 years experience in commercial and residential irrigation

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
