As an Inventory Control Specialist – NA 3PL , you will work in a fast paced, agile, and constantly growing environment. You will be responsible for inventory cycle counts and programs including data entry, tracking, reconciling, documenting, and reporting. Investigate and resolve inventory inaccuracies. Provide root cause analysis and recommendations for corrective actions. Support inventory processes, solutions, and strategies for the continuous improvement of inventory accuracy and order fulfillment quality and effectiveness.Exceeding customer expectations is one of our guiding principles at IDEXX. Primary Duties + Responsibilities
In this role you will support the North American 3PL & Maine Distribution Inventory Control programs by performing one or more of the following duties:
You will oversee the reconciliation of inventory between SAP and 3PL systems, proactively analyzing, investigating, and resolving discrepancies as needed.
You will ensure inventories are accurate by lot and location through accurate data entry, tracking, reconciling, documenting, and reporting.
You will resolve inventory inaccuracies by collaborating cross-functionally with internal and external teams to obtain physical inventory counts and analyze system transactions.
You will provide recommendations for corrective actions based on investigative trends.
You will review 3PL inventory cycle count reports and validate adjustments through IDEXX inventory transaction history.
You will systematically monitor inbound plant to plant transfers that are currently in transit.
You will support inventory cycle counting in the Maine Distribution warehouses.
You will satisfy inventory requests for both internal and external customers by designated lot number, utilizing work orders, material requisitions and packing/shipping documentation.
You will support inventory processes, solutions, and strategies for the continuous improvement of inventory accuracy and order fulfillment quality; includes cycle counts, data entry, tracking, reconciling, documenting and reporting.
You will assist /participate on special projects and teams as needed.
You will administer the scrap and rework processes, including disposition of expired, damaged, and obsolete materials.
You will report progress against goals to management. Periodically review and discuss operations and status of programs with team members.
Support / administer a data driven approach to continuous process improvement.
Support / drive warehouse utilization and efficiencies, including the tracking, documentation, and disposition of obsolescence.
Partner with, and interface with, other materials and logistics personnel on corporation wide inventory issues. (i.e., inventory movements, availability, customer service, etc.)
Maintain a clean and orderly warehouse and inventory handling area through good housekeeping practices.
You will Adhere to all applicable regulatory and safety procedures and requirements.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent.
Associates degree, or an equivalent combination of related education and experience, a plus.
Certified to operate a forklift, if required.
Certified to work with hazardous materials, if required.
Required Skills + Abilities
Solid computer skills and knowledge including familiarity with Microsoft Word and a strong proficiency in Excel. SAP experience a plus.
Must possess good communication and prioritization skills.
Must be detail oriented, a self-starter, able to work with minimal supervision and be a team player.
Ability to identify resolutions quickly and efficiently using troubleshooting techniques.
Must work well under pressure and tight time constraints.
Basic knowledge of warehouse practices.
Knowledge of IDEXX’s Material Handling, Inventory Control Cycle Counting and Scrap Processes preferred.
Physical Demands
Ability to properly lift up to 75 pounds.
Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance
Frequent lifting of large, unwieldy boxes or containers.
Must be able to work for extended periods of time standing, sitting, walking, reaching with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and talk and hear.
Must be able to utilize, and be certified, to use motorized lift equipment, if applicable.
Moderate to high computer use.
Work Environment
Normal warehouse environment where protective clothing and equipment may be required.
