Job Summary: To transport goods and materials over the road from one location to another

Essential Functions:

Perform the following duties according to ISO 9001 work instructions and standards:

• Pick up and deliver items from one plant to another.

• Load and unload fabric bins and racks, yarn, recirculating pallets, etc. at various locations.

• Ensure that items get to their respective destinations.

• Notify Supervisor of any maintenance problems with the truck, or any traffic issues or incidents that occur.

• Perform any other task assigned to you by your supervisor.

• Maintain personal attendance practices to meet established company goals.

• Maintain personal work habits, which meet the demands and stresses of the job.

• Meet deadlines and production quotas.

• Get along with co-workers.

• Follow instructions.

• Work scheduled overtime.

  
  

Safety:

• Perform all duties in a safe manner following guidelines established by Valdese Weavers.

• Wear any required protective gear that a location or task requires.

• Report all job related injuries and safety hazards to the supervisor immediately.

• Actively participate in safety programs that identify, investigate, and correct safety hazards.

• Perform daily DOT pre-trip inspection.

• Report any accidents or damage to vehicles to Supervisor IMMEDIATELY.
