Job Description:

We are seeking a Technology Integration Specialist to join our team. Under the supervision of the Director of Educational Operations, the Technology Integration Specialist provides education in technology to high school and transition-aged students, supports the integration of technology in the classroom for individuals and groups of students, and collaborates with teachers and other team members in strategically using technology for learning and instruction.

Responsibilities include:

Student Support and Instruction

  • Develop and facilitate responsive and engaging lessons within the areas of technology and STEM for technology classes provided weekly to six classrooms.
  • Plan and use appropriate instructional and learning strategies, activities, materials, and equipment that reflect understanding of the diverse learning styles and needs of our students.
  • Provide direct service in assistive technology to referred students within their classrooms.
  • Lead weekly technology-related elective, with topic rotating on a quarterly basis.
  • Complete formative and ongoing assessments of student knowledge and achievement, including Assistive Technology evaluations as needed.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to assess student progress and determine additional supports or interventions for areas of additional treatment needs.

Technology Integration

· Collaborate with instructional staff for instructional planning and model strategies for effectively integrating technology into teaching and learning.

· Collaborate with instructional supervisors on curriculum development around technology integration.

· Provide consultation to teachers on use of the internet and instructional technology.

Administration

· Collaborate on developing IEP goals for students and attend and present at annual IEP meetings, 3-year reevaluation meetings and reconvene meetings for students with assistive technology services with direct support from the Director of Educational Operations.

· Complete paperwork by deadlines including weekly documentation of services provided, IEP goals, IEP progress reports, progress reports for state agency treatment plans, etc.

· Manage systems for maintaining equipment, including device sign-out and storage.

· Assist with grant writing for technology needs.

Supervision, support, and professional learning are provided. Ivy Street School is driven by trauma-informed care and we use Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports and Restorative Justice to support positive behavior development and deepen character. Qualifications:

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college in a technology-related field. Master’s degree preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum two years related experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills along with a demonstrated ability to work with a neurodivergent population.
