Job Description:

Reporting to the Department Supervisor this position will demonstrate an advanced level of proficiency with multiple payers' and complex products offered within home based services. Proficient knowledge of necessary data elements to satisfy compliance and regulatory requirements to enable billing and collection efforts. Independently troubleshoot and resolve complex clinical customer issues, daily. Act as a resource for multi disciplinary team. Provides real time education and training of staff in accordance to standard operating procedures. Collaborate with physician, payer, customer, referral, or other team members to ensure patient referral needs are met in a timely and efficient manner. Ability to assess and navigate complex customer inquiries. Provide excellent service to customers during every interaction. Ability to successfully complete service recovery and de-escalation. Detail oriented and ability to function as a mentor; subject matter expert and preceptor. Demonstrate excellent service standards during every interaction. Other chief responsibilities include but not limited to: complete and accurate entry and review of patient file, verify eligibility of benefits, obtaining authorization and/or CMN, documentation review for complex clinical items and coordination. Ability to clearly communicate any issues with missing information with referral source and/or prescriber. Independently follow up and resolve issues.

Work Shift:

  • Casual 0-19hrs per week

Work Experience:

  • Two (2) years customer service, required
  • Experience working in a medical environment - familiarity with durable medical equipment, preferred
  • Experience working in a call center, preferred
  • Experience with billing and collections, preferred
