Job Description

California Closets of Charleston, SC is looking to expand our staff in the Installation department. If you have an aptitude for woodworking, a valid SCDL, a good driving record and the ability to work independently, California Closets would like to consider you for a position with our organization. We provide equipment and training, as well as a competitive pay scale for this outstanding opportunity.

The main responsibility of this position is to install our products in a safe, efficient and effective manner, upholding the business and personal ethics along with the customer satisfaction levels that our clients have come to expect, and that California Closets has always stood for.

• hours generally 7:00am to 5:00pm, actual times may vary based on operational needs
• starting pay for this position is $17 - $30 per hour, depending on experience, skill-set(s) and fit for position

Responsibilities

• maintain a commitment to client satisfaction, customer service and excellence
• operate company vehicles, tools and equipment in a safe and productive manner
• maintain vehicles, tools and equipment for effectiveness and efficiency
• installation of our in-house designed and manufactured storage systems in a safe, efficient and cost-effective manner. Our product line is diverse, but includes closets, home offices, pantries, garage systems, media centers, entertainment systems et al.
• shop/production duties: perform various shop/production related duties in a safe fashion, maximizing efficiency and cost controls
• partake in training programs as needed and required

Requirements

• possess and maintain a current South Carolina drivers’ license with a good driving record
• storage system (closet, office, garage, pantry etc.) installation experience preferred, but not necessary
• basic carpentry skills, proficiency with hand and power tools
• have strong verbal and written communication skills
• possess strong organizational skills
• acceptable post-offer drug screen for employment
• the ability to work alone AND in teams
• possess reliable transportation
• must be able to pass a background check
• have a strong work ethic

Job Location

This position is for installing in coastal South Carolina and Midlands South Carolina. We operate centrally out of our facility [offices, production and manufacturing] in Charleston, SC. Our territory (for installation purposes) ranges from Richmond Hill, GA up the coast to North Myrtle Beach, and West past Columbia, SC.
