Samaritan Health Services has an opportunity for an Inpatient Psychiatry Physician

Samaritan Health Services a non-profit integrated health care delivery system, is seeking a full time Inpatient Psychiatrist to join our team in Corvallis, OR.

Our award-winning health system provides exceptional primary care and a range of specialty services throughout the mid-Willamette Valley and Central Oregon coast. The network serves approximately 300,000 residents in Linn, Benton, Lincoln and portions of Polk and Marion counties. Job Specifics

• Join a well-established, full spectrum mental health program, with a multi-disciplinary staff to include physicians, nurses, LCSWs, and patient care coordinators.
• Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm
• Inpatient unit-average census of 6-8 patients, with a max of 10.
• Partial hospitalization program – patient intakes and crises checks with a max census of 8 patients.
• Typical diagnoses include schizophrenia, schizoaffective, bipolar, and depression.
• Serve as an attending psychiatrist, with oversight of psychiatry residents and teach of medical students.
• Collaborate with two other psychiatrists (3 physicians total) in oversight of inpatient and partial hospitalization programs.
• Approximately 2 nights/month of back-up call to residents

Job Requirements

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
• Current Oregon Licensure or license eligible
• BCLS certified
• 2 to 3 years of experience in Psychiatry
• Knowledge in working with patients who have chronic health conditions
• Eligibility to work in the United States
