Wages are $75,337.60/yr to $115,003.20/yr. Dependent on qualifications. Job Duties

Manage the daily operation and performance of the Saline County Information Technology and Geographic Information System (GIS) departments. Interface with all county departments to ensure that they have the technology in place to allow them to perform department critical functions. Manage the implementation of the Technology Improvement Plan (TIP). Supervises Information Technology and GIS Staff. Ensure that staff have the data center secure and running optimally. Lead staff in the development of cybersecurity best practices for our enterprise network by implementation of a county-wide cybersecurity plan and policy. Work with County Departments to determine the technology they need to perform their jobs effectively. Work closely with Departments in planning and management of enterprise applications.

Minimum Qualifications

1. Job requires substantial technical expertise in VMware virtualization technology including the VMware virtual desktop environment. A minimum of two years of experience working with the Microsoft 365 Office suite of applications including exchange online. A minimum of two years of experience related to network design and network operations. Cisco Systems switch, wireless, and firewall product knowledge is a plus. Two years of experience defending a network from cyberattack. A working knowledge of various cybersecurity application tools is required. Certification or significant experience with Cisco Next Generation firewalls is a plus.
2. A Bachelor"s degree with course work in computer science or information systems or a minimum of four years of experience in the information technology field may be substituted for the degree. Current industry technical certifications in the following areas is a plus: MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer), CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate), Cisco network security certifications.
3. The ideal candidate will have great communication and leadership skills to communicate with County Leadership, Department Heads, IT, GIS, and County users, as well as various vendors.
4. Strong leadership skills are required to meet the supervisory responsibilities.
5. Great organizational skills are required.
6. Must have a proven ability to plan and monitor budgets.
7. Must have a valid driver"s license and be insurable under Saline County"s fleet insurance policy.

Physical Requirements
Determined Work Level: Level 3 - Medium Work Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly. Ability to communicate by means of the spoken word. Ability to hear. Ability to perform fine and gross motor skills to operate computer, telephone, and automobile. Possible exposure to infectious pathogens, blood, body fluids and hazardous waste. May be exposed to a variety of work environments including outside of Health Department buildings in all weather conditions.
