HDR is looking for a Project Manager to join our Industrial team. This position may be based out of any of the following HDR offices: Charlotte-NC Greenville-SC or Columbia-SC. This individual will be responsible for management of projects supporting the design of facilities for a variety of private sector clients, most notably the manufacturing sector. On a day-to-day basis, the Industrial Project Manager will be expected to:


  • Plan and manage all aspects of multi-disciplined projects for industrial clients
  • Independently coordinate work of professional staff and balance team throughout entire project's development
  • Establish and develop client relations, and be involved with marketing, contractual, design and production meetings
  • Participate in reviews with project owners and/or various governing agencies for compliance
  • Conduct work sessions for design development and contract document in conjunction with other staff
  • Coordinate workload through entire project development, and ensure completion of work products on schedule and within budget
  • Track financial aspects of projects, and coordinate and adjust work effort with team to ensure work is completed within parameters of agreed-to schedule
  • Work with Business/Accounting Manager or Project Controller and Department Manager for internal project reviews with company management as needed
  • Perform other duties as needed

Qualifications


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Architecture or related discipline

  • Minimum of 7 years of related professional experience

  • Competence in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Project

  • Basic understanding of Google Earth, ESRI ArcGIS, Autodesk AutoCAD, and Bentley Microstation

  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must

  • Must have strong communication skills, and be self-motivated, organized, flexible, and able to work both independently and with a project team to completion of tasks

  • A valid driver’s license and safe driving record is required

  • Must be willing to travel/perform field work

  • This position will be subject to a pre-employment drug test and drug and alcohol testing during the course of your employment based upon HDR's Drug Testing and Drug Free Workplace Policy

Preferred Qualifications

  • PE license preferred

  • PMP certification preferred

  • Local candidates are preferred
