The Home Building Group is actively searching for a Maintenance Tech. for our home building facility in Addison, AL.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Maintenance Tech perform general maintenance on production equipment including hoist, forklift, air pumps and hand tools. The position follows standard maintenance methods and practices safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible.

Below are list a job tasks that may be performed in this position:

• Installs, repairs, and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance.
• Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation.
• Dismantles machinery and removes/replaces defective parts.
• Determines changes in requirements of parts by inspecting and measuring various instruments.
• Maintains inventories of equipment parts and supplies by checking stock and placing orders.
• Trains production workers on routine preventive maintenance.
• Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.
• Prepares maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
• Maintains a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

Safety: Practice safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible while observing all relevant OSHA regulations.

Productivity: Work in a team environment to produce products that conform to our quality standards while achieving our productivity objectives.

Stewardship: Serve as a good steward of our company’s physical assets, protecting them from damage and misuse, reporting all needed maintenance, keeping your assigned area clean, and orderly.

Attendance: Meet all attendance requirements, available for start of shift at required time, following the attendance rules and regulations of the division.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to operate machinery and technical equipment
• In-depth knowledge of system maintenance
• Ability to lift and move heavy equipment
• Familiarity with safety standards and regulations

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
