Job description

Wells Brothers Inc. is currently hiring an Industrial Electrician with experience in Machinery/OEM Controls Wiring. To be successful in this role, you must be able to read and understand OEM equipment wiring prints, run EMT and rigid conduit, and pull wire.

Essential Duties

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• Maintain a low Safety Incident Occurrence History
• Read and understand equipment wiring prints for OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturing) customers
• Operate Mechanical, Hydraulic and Electrical Conduit Benders - size pipe ¾” to 4”
• Install cables and cable trays
• Rough-in device, fixture and panel connections
• Assist in oversight and training of lower level employees as needed
• Select and Size wire, circuit breakers and fuse applications
• Size/Select pull boxes, junction boxes
• Size/Select/Install motor controllers

Experience and Requirements

• 1 Year of Industrial Electrical experience and 1 year of experience reading controls and equipment wiring prints
• Thoroughly understand electrical, motor control and low voltage systems
• Understand electrical circuits concepts & theory (Single Phase, Three Phase, AC and DC Electricity, 240V high leg system, wire colors, and test equipment)
• Understand code book, conduit & wire sizing, box fill, and conduit strapping
• Understand Nema 1, 12, and 3R requirements
• Industrial controls knowledge
• Ability to push, pull and lift up to 50lbs on occasion, stand, bend, stoop, squat, reach and sit for long periods of time
• Prefer comfort with heights and/or confined spaces
• Have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to work overtime including weekends and holidays as needed

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $31.00 per hour
