Lakeside Book Company is looking to add to our team. Our Industrial Electricians are the most knowledgeable of our machines and tap into our Operators to learn more about the causes of operations day in and day out. We are excited about your experiences in understanding, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining complex machinery.
Starting Rate: $27.54/hour for day shift with a shift differential for night shift
Work Hours: 12-hour rotating schedule: 2 weeks day shift & 2 weeks night shift
Location: We have 2 locations in Harrisonburg. This job is for our plant located at 2347 Kratzer Road, Harrisonburg, VA
What you'll be doing:
- Bring a fresh perspective to our manufacturing lines and make improvement suggestions to our electrical systems
- Collaborate with Operators, Supervisors, and Engineers to solve daily and long-term problems
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair electrical machinery
- Investigate issues by collaborating with Operators
- Provide instruction, mentor, and train technicians
What you bring to the table:
- 3+ years experience as an Industrial Electrician in manufacturing
OR an electrical trade school degree - 1+ years experience reading electrical systems, hand tools, and industrial equipment
- 1+ years experience reading and interpreting specifications and blueprints
We'd love if you have:
- 1+ years of PLC experience
- Experience performing electrical work on environmental regulating systems, pumps, and industrial lighting systems
