Washington County - 21st and 335th Judicial District Courts is seeking applicants for the position of Indigent Criminal Defense Attorney.

Applicants will be responsible for representing indigent defendants in felony cases filed in the District Court.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Representation of Indigent Court hearings, pre-trials, jury trials, bench trials, motions to revoke probation and motions to adjudicate.
  • Attorneys are required to complete and file monthly reports as to cases disposed monthly.

The Indigent Criminal Defense Attorney is a Washington County employee and would receive other benefits.

Employment is contingent on passing post-offer, pre-employment, reasonable suspicion and/or periodic drug, criminal background investigations, and motor vehicle record reports as appropriate under policy.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $4,300.00 per month
