Job Description:
Our unique Independent Living Skills team is searching for dedicated Mentors to support adults (18+) with developmental disabilities achieve an autonomous and interdependent life. At Ignite you would be working with one or more people for up to 87 hours per month per person, based on individual goals. Support may be virtual or in-person depending on personal preference.
Duties vary per individual but all supports are community-based and focus on one or more of the following areas:
- Self-advocacy
- Managing services
- Transportation
- Relationship development
- Emergency preparedness
- Healthy living
- Money management
- Communication
- Continuing education
- Employment, volunteerism, and internships
- Entrepreneurship
- Home maintenance and safety
- Self-care
Previous experience or familiarity with someone with a disability is a plus, but not required. Please respond with your resume and times you would be available for a 30min virtual interview.
