USCIS - Paralegal

The Matian Firm is looking for a paralegal to join our growing USCIS department. You will report directly to the Legal Supervisor. The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service and case management skills. We're looking for someone with knowledge of USCIS filings, such as I-485, I-130, N-400, and affirmative asylum. This paralegal will participate in all aspects of our cases, including assisting in the management of client relationships, case review, analysis, preparation and filing of applications and petitions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare immigration applications for filing with USCIS, including I-130, I-485, N-400, VAWA, I-290B, etc.
• Prepare forms, letters, documents, and correspondence for attorney review.
• Maintain extensive communication with clients to provide case status and outstanding customer service.
• Oversee status of cases through utilization of case management systems, including CLIO and Airtable.
• Make regular updates to our case management systems, including client information, case tracking information, and client communications.
• Complete assignments and communicate case status to the Legal Supervisor.
• Demonstrate strategic thinking and initiative concerning case assignments.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of Immigration Law experience.
• Knowledge of USCIS filings, such as I-130, I-485, VAWA, N-400, N-600, I-131, TPS Renewal, I-589, I-765, I-929, I-290B, and I-601.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, but not required
• Experience with Case Management Software
