The position of IFCCS Coordinator will pay $64,480 for unlicensed Therapists and $70,480 for licensed Therapists.

Differentials that apply:

Bilingual Spanish Speaking Differential: $5000 annually

Geographic Differential: $3000 annually

Intensive Program Differential: $3000 annually

Additionally, the lifespan compensation range of this position is:

  • Unlicensed Therapist: $64,480- $75,000
  • Licensed Therapist: $70,480- $80,000

IFCCS is an integrated, intensive, community-based program, grounded in a philosophy of unconditional commitment to partner with clients and families to strengthen and empower relationships by fostering hope, wellness, and resiliency. The most important outcome of the IFCCS program is to promote the safety, permanence and well-being of children and Transitional Aged Youth (TAY) involved with the Child Welfare System. A multi-disciplinary treatment team provides an array of services firmly grounded in the Shared Core Practice Model. Services are intended to expedite access to ICC and IHBS.

Under the direct supervision and leadership of the Program Supervisor the Intensive Care Coordinator is responsible for coordinating services for each client referred for IFCCS services. This includes maintaining contacts with DCFS and DMH and assisting with linkages to community resources as well as coordinating team meetings with the clients. The IFCCS Care Coordinator completes all Department of Mental Health documentation according to required guidelines and maintains productivity expectations. The IFCCS Care Coordinator works as a member of the IFCCS staff team which includes the IFCCS therapist and the IFCCS Rehabilitation Specialist. The IFCCS Care Coordinator works to maximize the involvement of natural family supports, community support systems, private providers, and referring agency representatives. The IFCCS Care Coordinator operates from a strengths-based, family-centered and community-based perspective.

  • Schedules and facilitates the CFT meetings on at least a monthly basis.
  • Along with the IFCCS team develops a plan and coordinates care.
  • Ensures that at least weekly contact with the child and family is maintained.
  • Consults with representatives from DCFS, DMH, and the child’s attorney as necessary to coordinate care on an ongoing basis.
  • Is responsible for ensuring that plans from any system partners are integrated along with the Matrix to comprehensively address the goals and objectives of all parties involved in the care of the youth.
  • Provides ICC and IHBS services as required or when client is in crisis.
  • Ensures outreach to new IFCCS referrals within 24 hours of receiving referral and follows up with the Department of Mental Health Countywide Administration.
  • Completes all Mental Health Progress notes within 24 hours of services being provided.
  • Completes all other required IFCCS or Mental Health documentation within required time frames.
  • Maintains 24-hour on-call availability, unless otherwise designated.
  • Works collaboratively with therapists, staff, family members, public and private agencies, and community support systems in accordance with the needs of the client.
  • Attends and participates in individual and group clinical supervision.
  • Complies with all Federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Program Supervisor

What you will need to bring:

  • Registered AMFT, ASW or LMFT, LCSW in California and have experience working with the target population of children and families.
  • Must possess sensitivity to family culture, values and beliefs, and be able to operate from a family-centered, strengths-based perspective.
  • Clinical knowledge and expertise within scope of practice in group, family and individual therapy.
  • Community resources in Antelope Valley and surrounding areas.
  • Experience with DMH paperwork preferred.
  • Must possess good written and verbal communication skills, be organized and be willing to work a flexible and varied schedule, including being available on-call 24/7.
  • Must possess a valid CA driver’s license, be able to drive, and remain insurable.
  • Bilingual Spanish language speaking, reading, writing preferred
