Job description

Our production team creates all of our delicious ice creams completely from scratch! This task includes preparing ingredients for ice cream production, churning ice cream in small batches, packaging, labeling, and maintaining inventory of ingredients and supplies. Key traits are passion for food, strong work ethic, integrity, strong communication skills, ability to perform daily duties in a team setting in compliance with food safety and quality safety, maintaining cleanliness of our production kitchen and respect for other teammate’s time.

Follow recipes to produce between 32 and 64 + pints of fresh ice cream and ice cream sandwiches each day

Properly label, date, pack, and store pints of ice cream and ice cream sandwiches

Prepare ingredients and produce our handcrafted bases and inclusions, such as, fudge, curds, jams, cookies, cakes, brownies, etc.

Accurately inventory ingredients and supplies to inform the daily production plan

Participate in monthly inventory as needed

Communicate clearly, effectively, and respectfully with all members of our team

Thoughtfully complete daily cleaning tasks to ensure all areas of kitchen are clean and organized

Clean as you go, with attention to detail, while staying organized throughout your shift

Follow health, safety and sanitation guidelines

Passion for food, cooking, teamwork, and quality

Previous professional kitchen or production experience desired; culinary school is a plus

Ability to measure ingredients accurately and perform basic kitchen math

Ability to follow recipes and production standard operating procedures correctly and precisely.

Ability to work independently while also being a dedicated and collaborative team player

Dedication to cleanliness and organization

Great communication skills and a professional, friendly attitude

Willingness to learn and follow instructions with precision as well as give great attention to detail

Be 18 years old or older

Be available 20+ hours a week

Arrives 5 minutes before shift begins. To be ready for the morning shift huddle to prepare for the day’s production goals. Production Team’s shifts are 7am- 3pm, Mon - Fri.

Ability to stand eight hours, lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly, and take required breaks on time

No planned absences longer than 7 days in a row, June 1st through August 31st

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour
