Summary

The primary purpose of this position is to provide key insights through the analysis of data to help the People Team and business leaders understand workforce trends and the impact of HR programs. Furthermore, these analyses help business leaders make data driven decisions. This position will also keep Samsung Electronics America, Inc. on track to meet talent planning goals.

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver periodic reports and data visualizations, including: Workforce Planning, Talent Acquisition trends, Talent Management reporting, Leadership and Development KPI scorecards, HR metrics, Talent Review data preparation, Performance/Goal setting status updates and HRIS maintenance reporting.
• Develop reports to show the impact of HR programs on retention, attrition, and key measures across the employee life-cycle.
• Partner with the Planning Team and HR Business Partners to enhance Talent programs and provide effective solutions/recommendations for planning initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional team members to make enhancements to Workday operations.
• Support the administration of Workday processes for People Team programs, including: Performance and Goal Setting, Succession Planning and Talent Reviews.

Top 3 Must Have Skills

1. Ability to evaluate client reporting needs and design specialized ad hoc reports and associated data visualizations, as required by key stakeholders.
2. Advanced Excel skills and formulas are critical for this role.
3. Strong HRIS skills (Workday preferred)

Skills

• Ability to make decisions on how to approach the creation of ad hoc reports and how to utilize charts and other visual elements to tell a story with data.
• Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Business Intelligence Analytics, Human Resources or related areas of study are preferred.
• Strong mathematical skills including: Statistics, Financial Planning, Operational Analysis will be helpful in this role.
• Advanced Excel skills and formulas are critical.
• Strong PowerPoint skills.
• Experience using data visualization and automation tools, including Tableau and Alteryx will be helpful.
