The National is seeking a full time salaried Human Resource Director who will provides all general support of HR functions to the unit. The Director reports to the General Manager and CFO and will provide leadership and support to managers and employees throughout the organization, assist in identifying best practices and organizational efficiencies, as well as coach and train line managers to properly apply human resource policies and programs within the property. Responsibilities include managing, processing, and implementation of the following but not limited to benefits, employee incentives, retention, turnover, recruitment, safety, training, and development. The Director must be able to create, plan and manage creative HR strategies, and have knowledge of EEO laws and general HR policies.


ESSENTIAL TASKS:

  • Develop and implement internal HR processes and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable employment laws and regulations.
  • Develop and direct innovative employee motivation and morale programs.
  • Oversee all Benefits distribution and solve benefit related challenges.
  • Must possess strong interpersonal and communications skills.
  • Ability to listen to employee concerns and have exceptional analytical problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
  • Additional tasks and responsibilities may be assigned at the discretion of the manager.
  • Follows The National’s policies and procedures and safety and sanitation guidelines.
  • May be required to work as business dictates.
  • Monitors and ensures the organization’s compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices’ reviews and modifies policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Plans, leads, develops, coordinates, and implements policies, processes, training, initiatives, and surveys to support the organization’s human resource compliance and strategy needs.
  • Identify staffing and recruiting needs, develop, and execute best practices for hiring and talent management.
  • Facilitates professional development, training, and certification activities for HR staff


REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Education: • BS or BA required in human resources or related field/experience

  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP highly preferred

Experience:

  • 2-5 years previous experience in Human Resource Management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong problem-solving skills & leadership skills
  • Ability to adapt to the needs of the organization and employment
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
  • Proficient with Microsoft office suite or related software
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and talent management systems
