NNSA Requirements for MedPEDs


If you have a Medical Portable Electronic Device (MedPED), such as a pacemaker, defibrillator, drug-releasing pump, hearing aids, or diagnostic equipment and other equipment for measuring, monitoring, and recording body functions such as heartbeat and brain waves, if employed by Sandia National Laboratories you may be required to comply with NNSA security requirements for MedPEDs.

If you have a MedPED and you are selected for an on-site interview at Sandia National Laboratories, there may be additional steps necessary to ensure compliance with NNSA security requirements prior to the interview date.

What Your Job Will Be Like


Organization 03502-2, HR Solutions – Training and Administration, is currently seeking a Human Resources Administrative Generalist to join their team!

The selected candidate will perform administrative, transactional, and data/records management activities in support of HR and HRIS functions, including processing personnel actions and completing routine audits. This person will handle requests for HR documentation tasks and inquiries in which they will process transactions by collecting required information or back-up documentation from employees, managers, and other HR departments, including probing for additional information if unclear, performing data entry, and sending requested documents.

Successful candidates will be able provide excellent customer service by responding to both phone and online inquiries from employees and managers at all levels and resolve questions/issues by accessing information in multiple systems.

This person reports directly to the HR Solutions Admin Team Lead.

On any given day, one may be called upon to:

  • Provide excellent customer service to both phone and online inquiries from employees and managers at all levels and resolve questions/issues by accessing information in multiple systems
  • Advance complex HR inquires to HR Operations Specialists and provides necessary documentation to support requests; routes/refers calls for advanced support and follows up as required
  • Process transactions by collecting required information or back-up documentation from the employee/manager/HR, including probing for additional information if unclear, performing data entry, and sending requested documents
  • Perform transaction processing in support of HR functions (e.g., data entry, electronic filing, sending correspondence, etc.)
  • Provide help on navigating internal resources on self-service and HR technology tools
  • Manage workload efficiently to fulfill commitments in a timely manner and within established service level agreements
  • Collaborate closely between HR Solutions, vendors, and HR functional areas

Qualifications We Require

  • A High School Diploma, plus 3 years relevant experience in Human Resources or a related field; or equivalent experience and/or achievements that demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and ability to perform the duties of the job
  • The ability to acquire and maintain a DOE L-level security clearance

Qualifications We Desire

  • An Associate's degree or a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications, English, Psychology, Marketing/Sales, or a related field
  • Knowledge of HR concepts and terminology
  • Experience in Customer Service; a proven customer service orientation
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities, think tactically and strategically, demonstrate objectivity, be results oriented, and show initiative and creativity
  • Strong digital literacy and technical capabilities (e.g. Microsoft Office, Oracle Service Cloud, Peoplesoft, etc.)
  • The ability to be flexible, work well under pressure, and readily adapt to change
  • The ability to decode customer expectations, earn trust through results, influence/relate to others, and connect people through technology
  • Experience in a shared services environment
  • The demonstrated ability to team well and communicate effectively with others
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Familiarity with case management systems, in particularly Oracle Service Cloud
  • The ability to protect and keep personally identifiable information (PII) confidential
  • The ability to model behaviors that reflect Sandia's core values

Security Clearance

Position Information


This Limited Term Employee (LTE) position is a temporary position for one year term, which may be renewed at Sandia's discretion up to a maximum of seven years.

Individuals in LTE positions may bid on regular Sandia positions as internal candidates, and in some cases may be converted to regular career positions during their term if warranted by ongoing operational needs, continuing availability of funds, and satisfactory job performance.
