Pacifica Senior Living is looking for a Houseman to join our team!

Duties and Responsibilities:

The Houseman will be responsible for performing a variety of cleaning, maintenance, and housekeeping duties within the community. They will ensure that the common areas, resident rooms, and other spaces within the community are clean, organized, and safe for all residents, staff, and visitors.

• Clean and maintain all common areas, activity rooms, including hallways, lobbies, lounges, and other public spaces while following all cleaning schedules and procedures as assigned.
• Ensure that all resident rooms are clean and organized on a regular basis, following established cleaning procedures.
• Perform deep cleaning of resident rooms and common areas as required.
• Maintain an inventory of cleaning supplies and notify the supervisor when supplies need to be replenished.
• Respond promptly to resident requests for cleaning or maintenance assistance.
• Help with setup and cleanup of community events and activities.
• To use heavy cleaning equipment as directed such as wet/dry vacuum, shampoo machine, etc..
• Ensure that all equipment is in good working order and report any issues to the supervisor.
• To report any carpet damage, broken fixtures, etc.. to department manager.
• To clean public and employee bathrooms according to an assigned schedule and procedure.
• To move furniture as required.
• To check function sheets each day for room set up of any activities scheduled.
• To obtain needed supplies from manager at start of shift.
• To pick up and stock weekly deliveries of housekeeping supplies.
• To report and turn in all lost and found items to the department manager.
• To clean housekeeping closets
• To assist other departments when the need arises.
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures when working in the community.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in a similar role preferred
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs.)
• Good time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings as needed

Physical Demands:

The Houseman position may require frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting heavy objects. The ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and climb stairs is also required.
