Summary

Housemen are responsible for the upkeep and cleanliness of all resort areas including public spaces and private guest rooms. They assist the Room Attendants and other housekeeping team members with certain daily tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of cleaning activities
• Ensure all rooms and public spaces are cared for and clean according to company standards
• Protect and responsibly handle guest and company property and equipment
• Notify supervisors of any damaged property immediately
• Ensure guest requests and complaints are handled appropriately and efficiently
• Assist Room Attendants with stripping rooms and keeping closets stocked
• Take out trash and properly break down boxes
• Due to the nature of this position, confidentiality is always required
• Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned at the discretion of the Housekeeping Supervisors or Directors

Requirements

• Previous experience is preferred but not required
• Understanding of verbal and nonverbal communication, ability to multitask and work efficiently independently or as a team, be guest and service oriented
• The employee is also regularly required to stand, walk the property, climb stairs, and sit for periods of time. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
