Housekeeping/Cleaner
The Charlton School collaborates with families to create a therapeutic learning community where a foundation, based on relationships, drives creativity and self-discovery through intensive individualized approaches. Located in southern Saratoga County, we are focused on delivering the right therapy in the right environment in ways that fit our students. The Charlton School provides students with smaller class sizes to support their academic progress, carefully selected peers, multiple forms of therapy to aid with the improvement of their mental health, and qualified professionals who can help students feel safe, connected and empowered. Residential and day students are supported with collaborative treatment plans that include Expressive Arts, Equine Therapy, Family Therapy, Social Emotional Learning, among others on a scenic 275 acre campus

Major Duties:

The Housekeeper/Cleaner is responsible for cleaning two small residential houses and our Family Connections building which includes 5 bedrooms, bathrooms, a living room and kitchen.

DAILY:

Empty trash and recyclables, dust surfaces, vacuum, and sweep/mop all floors. Clean and restock all bathrooms.

AS NEEDED:

Move furniture as requested. Plunge / clear clogs in sinks and toilets.

Perform heavy or light housekeeping/custodial duties including shampoo spots as needed, window washing to maintain the buildings in an orderly, clean manner.

Work Schedule:

● 15-20 Hours a week, evenings/or early mornings, flexible schedule.

Salary/Benefits:

● $17 - $19 per hour

● Prorated Holiday, Vacation, and Sick time based on hours worked

Criteria:

● High School Diploma

● Knowledge of housekeeping/custodial techniques and the ability to implement those techniques

● Must be able to frequently lift and carry objects weighing up to 20 lbs.
● Must be able to read instructions and safety rules, write sentences, communicate verbally, and follow instructions
● Must be able to climb stairs, ladders
● Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
● A valid NYS drivers' license in good standing, is required

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
