We currently have a career opportunity available for an experienced Hotel Director of Operations.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· (This position reports to the Area General Manager)
· Oversee the day-to-day operations of the hotel
· Create a positive team environment, managing all staff in a fair and consistent manner – holding everyone accountable for the achievement of established standards of service, cleanliness, maintenance and upholding all policies outlined in the employee handbook
· Develop and maintain guest loyalty
· Monitor third party vendor service, billing and protocols (laundry, housekeeping agency, R&M service providers)
· Inspect all elements of the facility daily
· Review all shift reports and take appropriate action when adjustments are necessary
· Hire, train and develop new staff
· Take on assigned projects with vigor and competency
· Develop and maintain communications with third party F&B operator(s)
· Enable the sales process by insuring all prospective client site visits demonstrate the hotel’s desire to capture the business by insuring the sales teams has perfectly presented show rooms, the public space is meticulously prepared and the staff is aware of faces, names and purpose of clients visiting
· Handle staff scheduling or oversee this process if assigned to others
· Approve all payroll weekly
· Approve invoices submitted to the Controller
· Manage operating expenses within the budgeted values
· Demonstrate remarkable ambassadorship for the brand.
Requirements:
· Prior NYC hotel department head level experience
· Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
· Ability to make sound business decisions and take action to resolve any challenges
· Effective verbal and written communication skills
· Computer literacy and financial management a must
· This position requires flexibility with scheduling including weekends and holidays
