Job description
High school diplomaor equivalent (GED). In addition, must pass an administered reading and mathcomprehensive test and a mechanical aptitude test. Heavy equipment operationsexperience is desired.

A combined totalof three (3) occurrences and/or loseouts (tardies)
• Any instances ofabsence without leave (AWOL)
• Any disciplinaryactions
• Any valid customercomplaints
• Employee has notsuccessfully completed probationary period as a new hire
Notes: Record evaluation will be conducted based on the twelvemonths preceding the initial date of the posting. Candidates must remain ingood standing once selected through the job screening and offer process.Failure to remain in good standing based on the criteria listed above willdisqualify any candidate. Additional Requirements (Internal/External Candidates)
1. Picks-up vehicle from designated parking area; drives vehicle to fuelisland.
2. Checks all fluid levels (oil, water, transmission) and fills to designatedlevels; refuels to capacity; records fluid usage.
3. Cyclone cleans and air sweeps vehicle interior. Sweeps or vacuums the bus interior.
4. Checks vehicle for broken mirrors or window glass, windshield wipercondition and operation, exterior and interior lights operation, and tirecondition; notes defects on vehicle card.
5. Drives vehicle through bus wash and onto designated parking area.
6. Steam cleans or pressure washes engines as required.
7. Makes non-mechanical road calls to any location within the MARTA servicearea to replace defective vehicles.
8. Performs other mechanical support duties as required.
Must have a current, valid State of Georgia issued CDLlicense (Class A or B) with a Passenger (“P”) endorsement or current valid State of Georgia issued Commercial DriverLearner’s (CDL) Permit (Class A or B) with a passing “P” endorsement score isrequired. Individuals hired with a validState of Georgia issued Commercial Driver Learner’s Permit, must obtain a validState of Georgia issued Commercial Driver’s License (Class A or B) with aPassenger endorsement within three (3) weeks of their date of hire.
A minimum of two years driving experience. A maximum of one (1) moving violation, with amaximum of three (3) points on Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) within a 24-monthperiod. No DUI violations allowed.1. Minimum age 18 years old.
2. Must have stable work history and satisfactory reference checks.
