Staging Assistant
Genesis Home Staging is a successful, growing company based in, Redmond. The company was founded in 2018. We decorate homes that are about to go on the market to sell for homeowners, real estate agents, investors and builders. We service the Eastside and Surrounding areas. We take pride in not just the quality of homes we have the privilege of staging, but just as important is the experience we create for our clients through unparalleled professional customer service.
This is a long-term, part-time, on call position. We work in multiple locations, as well as our Staging Gallery in Redmond and offsite warehouse in Woodinville. Please consider your commute time when applying. Work days typically begin at 9:00 AM.
The ideal candidate will provide general support to the Staging team. This is a physically demanding job that requires careful handling of home furnishings.
This is NOT a Designer or Home Stager position, however, candidates who show talent and exceptional performance in this role have the opportunity to receive professional training to become a Home Stager with opportunities for career advancement with the company.

REQUIREMENTS
RELIABLE TRANSPORTATION. You will be driving your own vehicle or the company van to different locations on a daily basis. You must have proof of insurance and a valid driver's license.
ABLE TO LIFT AND CARRY 25 lbs. up and down stairs on your own if needed and. The furniture movers carry the furniture and really heavy stuff, but you will be expected to carry small furniture items as well as totes with décor and lamps. This job requires being on your feet and moving around for most of the work day.
FLEXIBLE SCHEDULE. This is a part-time on call position. Must be able to work a variety of shifts and sometimes long hours.
ABLE TO FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS AND WORK AS PART OF A TEAM. If ironing bedding and sweeping floors is beneath you, this is not a good job for you.

Willing to learn and adhere to company systems, processes and design guidelines.
You must speak fluent English and be legal to work in the US.
Ability to follow existing systems and processes.
Work may include indoor and outdoors.
Manual labor in all weather conditions – this includes moving and assembling furniture, cleaning, ironing, and other general tasks required.
Proficiency in furniture assembly is a plus!
Great interpersonal relations (people skills).
Duties include but not limited to:
OFFSITE AND ONSITE PROJECT ASSISTANCE:
Going to vacant houses to take 360 degree photos and measurements for our design plan (training and equipment provided).
Select and/or pack pre-selected items from inventory list ready for movers.
Assist moving crew in loading and unloading smaller items.
Assist Lead designer as directed.
Onsite assistance with staging installation.
Hanging artwork.
Setting up assigned rooms.
Making beds.
Steaming linens and shower curtains.
Return unused items to staging gallery and restock.
Destaging:
Removal of furnishing items from job sites.
Furniture assembly.
Ability to learn and use an inventory system.
Track and verify inventory.
Cleaning furnishing floors and surfaces.
Load vehicle and return inventory to the staging gallery.
Running errands (Company vehicle provided or mileage reimbursed).
EDUCATION/SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum High School Diploma; Post-secondary education preferred.
- Signed confidentiality/non disclosure agreement required.
- Proficiency in Google Suite and cloud based software.
- Experience in the following is an asset:
- Project management
- Visual merchandising
- Hospitality
- Customer service
HOURS
- This is a part-time/on-call, hours, but hours of operation are 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Some weekend work may be required on an on-call basis and flexible candidates will be considered first.
- The number of days you will work will depend on the number of projects we have at any given time and your skill set.
We mostly work onsite, sometimes we work at the Staging Gallery, selecting and packing décor items for staging or restocking them. You should be comfortably dressed to work in a warehouse-like environment and sometimes by yourself.
