The Correspondent Lending QA QC Professional is responsible for assisting in the approval of new Correspondent lenders and recertification of current Correspondent lenders on an annual basis. They will also assist in reviewing requests to update Correspondent lenders accounts as needed.
This individual is responsible for ensuring all guidelines and procedures are followed while reviewing new applications and recertification packages. They will also be expected to effectively communicate with the sales team, Head of Correspondent Lending and his leadership team regarding the status of an application and throughout the approval of and up to the termination of the Correspondent lender.
This individual will need to be able to identify potential concerns that would need to be escalated for additional review. They would also be responsible to tracking any approved exceptions and follow up with the appropriate parties as necessary.
This individual will also be responsible for assisting in various lender monitoring activities including quarterly review of each FHA approved lender’s HUD ratio. This information will have to gathered and provided to the Head of Correspondent Lending for review and distribution.
The successful candidate will engage with various business lines (e.g. Operations, Risk, Legal, Compliance, Sourcing, Accounting) and approved lenders to ensure lender compliance with Citizens policies and procedures, other banking policies (state/federal/local), and review lender financials to determine compliance with Correspondent minimum net worth requirements.
Primary responsibilities include
- The review of new lender applications as well as all supporting documents. This review is to ensure compliance with all Correspondent lender requirements including, but not limited to net worth, sufficient lender experience and performance, and verification that effective lender controls in place that maintain compliance with state, federal, agency and Citizens guidelines.
- The request and review of annual recertification documents to ensure the lender is still eligible for Correspondent approval. The receipt of all required recertification items will need to be tracked and communicated to the sales team and Head of Correspondent Lending so that all recertification timelines are met and appropriate actions are taken.
- Checking lenders annually against various exclusionary lists and pulling necessary reports to ensure lenders are still eligible for approval. Negative results or reports will need to be escalated for review and consideration of the appropriate next steps.
- The review of requests to update, add or remove a lender’s approved enhancements as well as requests to terminate a lender’s approval. All updates and terminations must be effectively communicated to the sales and management teams.
- Utilize the HUD Neighborhood Watch system to pull FHA approved lenders’ HUD ratios. This information is tracked quarterly and communicated to the Head of Correspondent Lending.
- Track all approved exceptions and request follow up documentation as needed.
- Manage lender documentation and ensure all information is uploaded to the documentation management system.
- Ensure that all lender information is correct and updated in our sales management system. This is critical as various departments rely on this information to be accurate throughout the approval and up to termination of the lender.
- Adding and removing lender wiring instructions as needed. This will require communicating with Accounting, Operations and the lender as all wiring instruction additions or updates must be verbally verified by the lender.
- Monitoring to be sure the Correspondent TPO procedures are correct and up to date.

- Previous lender oversight or quality control reviews is a plus, but not required

- Associates Degree required
Hours & Work Schedule
- Hours per Week: 40 hours
- Work Schedule: M-F
The salary range for this position is $35,000 - $50,00. Actual pay is based on various factors including but not limited to the work location, and relevant skills and experience.
