Overview:

Avid Healthcare Services is hiring Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN's) to work at Sacramento County Correctional Facilities in Northern California. You will be responsible for the assessment, diagnosis, or treatment of assigned patients. We have AM/NOC Per Diem work available!!

Position:

• Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)

Requirements may include:

• Current LVN License
• Valid Drivers License
• Pass Background Check
• Current Neg. PPD or Chest X-Ray
• Current CPR/BLS Certification
• Administer medical care to ill or injured patients
• Diagnose and establish patient treatment plans
• Monitor and report changes in patient symptoms or behavior
• Communicate with collaborating physicians or specialists regarding patient care
• Educate patients about health maintenance and disease prevention
• Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities
• Maintain accurate patient medical records

Qualifications:

• Experience working with psychiatric patients
• Familiarity with medical software and equipment
• Ability to build rapport with patients
• Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Demonstrate the ability to effectively use the nursing process

Shift

Days range from Monday-Sunday

• Start time:
• AM
• NOC

*This is NOT a travel position*

• 2 weekend days/month availability is required. (2 Saturdays, 2 Sundays or Sat/Sun)

• Assignments are located & required in both Downtown Sacramento & Elk Grove locations

• Scheduled days/shifts & location are based on the facility needs
• Both facilities are open seven (7) days a week.
• Your availability is one of the criteria's reviewed for consideration for this assignment
• Your availability is how your schedule is created based on needs of either facility location

• All candidates must be available to work days as specified on availability you submit.
• This position is per diem.
• No benefits are associated with this position.
