We actively recruiting a High School Biology Teacher for the 2023-2024 school year!
The Village School is a private college preparatory school for grades Early Childhood through High School. Our High School offers the International Baccalaureate Diploma program and boarding opportunities through the Nord Anglia Boarding program.

This position requires a combination of both school experience and passion for teaching.
A Village School teacher should be knowledgeable about not only his or her department and the curriculum developed there but about the school environment as a whole. They should be able to provide information about special programs offered as well as the philosophy of the school itself.
A Village School teacher should be a proponent of the school and willing to talk about the school in a positive light to all constituents.
A Village School teacher should work cooperatively and collectively with school Directors, Instructional Coach, Coordinators, Department Heads and other Teachers to ensure that instructional programs are coordinated and are administered uniformly and equitably in alignment with desired outcome.We're looking for a candidate who genuinely cares about their students, and is passionate about shaping the next generation – not only through classroom instruction, but also through extracurricular activities and involvement. The ideal candidate will be able to connect with students of all ages, and help them to grow academically, personally and socially!
Responsibilities:
- Use multiple teaching methods to teach students.
- Communicate with parents and school administrators.
- Organize and plan lessons.
- Assess student learning outcomes.
- Effectively work with students who have unique needs or special requirements.
- Identify learning barriers and work with students to help them overcome them.
- Maintain a safe environment for both students and staff members.
Qualifications:
- Qualified applicants will have demonstrated success teaching a HS Health Science curriculum.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study
- Experience teaching HS Biology is desirable, as is IB and/or AP experience.
