Responsible for providing instructional support to students through high dosage tutoring. Coordinate with school high
dosage tutoring Site Facilitator to be assigned to sessions to work with students in need of high dosage tutoring services.

DESCRIPTION OF JOB TASKS

1. Provide research-based, intentional scaffolded tutoring focused on Literacy and Math to students in-person, in
tutoring sessions scheduled by the school; serve four or fewer students for 45-60 minutes, three or more times
per week.

2. Prepare tutoring plans, activities, and materials as outlined by the PSD high dosage tutoring models by using
instructional materials provided by the school and ensuring alignment with Colorado Academic Standards.

3. Engage in ongoing communication and collaboration with Site Facilitator, classroom teachers, and additional
school staff as determined by the Site Facilitator or School Administrator. Communicate student needs and/or
progress with Site Facilitator and classroom teachers.

4. Build positive relationship with students and create a learning environment that maximizes instructional
opportunities.

5. Maintain student records and reports as needed to allow monitoring of student growth and adaptation of
support as needed.

6. Demonstrate a commitment to:
a. Including and engaging families in the student’s education.
b. Support all Poudre School District policies, procedures, and expectations.
c. Providing personal and professional excellence.

7. Attend work and arrive in a timely manner.
8. Perform other duties as assigned.


EDUCATION AND RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in content area being tutored, with proper teaching licensure program preferred.
  • One to two years of related experience instructing or tutoring students preferred.
  • Combination of education and related work experience acceptable.


LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS, or CERTIFICATIONS:

  • Criminal background check required for hire.
• Valid Colorado teaching license with appropriate endorsements preferred; minimum of a CDE substitute authorization
required.
  • CPR and First Aid certifications encouraged.

  • Oral and written communication skills.

  • Operating knowledge of and experience with typical office equipment.
