Heavy Civil Demolition Project Manager/Estimator
Job description
**MUST HAVE DEMOLITION EXPERIENCE**
The Project Manager/Estimator plans, directs and coordinates activities of multiple project teams to ensure that goals and objectives of the project/s are accomplished on time, implemented at or below the estimated cost, and billed in a timely fashion throughout the duration of the project/s.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide initial client contact to assess the scope of work and resources required to complete the project.
- Oversee supervision of total construction effort to ensure the project is constructed in accordance with design, budget, and schedule. Project supervision includes interfacing with client representatives, AE representatives, other contractors, etc.
- Provide technical assistance, i.e., interpretation of drawings, recommending construction methods and equipment, etc., as required. Initiate and maintain extra work estimating and issuance of change orders.
- Assume responsibility for productivity, quality, and safety, efficient use of resources, materials, and equipment, and contractual performance of the project.
- Ability to interpret bid documents, plans and all other related project/construction documents.
- Experience with performing takeoffs and ability to calculate, analyze and adjust estimates.
- Knowledge of state bidding practices (MA/ CT/RI/NH).
Qualifications:
- Four-year engineering or construction management degree or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience
- Minimum of 2 years of heavy civil/infrastructure/transportation-related construction project management in the field. Minimum of 5 years of industry experience
- Knowledge of all aspects of construction (technology, equipment, means, and methods); supervision, estimating, schedules, budget, and safety required
- Excellent communication, organizational and supervisory skills essential.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
