HEALTH CLINIC AIDE
Minimum Requirements
High school diploma or General Education Development (GED) certificate and one (l) year of experience and/or training in the medical field or working with children. Basic computer skills required (i.e. ability to use e-mail).
Valid First Aid/CPR/AED certificate issued by the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or
Entity approved by the Florida Department of Health.
These certifications need to be kept current.

Special Notes
Job responsibilities include working in the School Health Clinic independently to care for the medical needs of school-age students during school hours. Medical care includes providing medications, medical procedures, first aid, emergency care, and other health needs of school-age students. The HCA will be work independently in the school clinic after being trained by a Registered Nurse. The Registered Nurse will supervise multiple HCAs and school clinics.
