Health Center Manager - May 25 - August 15 (flexible scheduling available): supervises and coordinates the health and safety of the campers and staff. The Camp Health Manager supports the administration of a complete health and safety program for campers and staff ensuring on-going camp health care. Salary starts at $600 per week, salary increase available for Registered Nurses.

  • Passionate about youth leadership

  • Excellent with children, ages 5-17, and equally skilled at working with adults of all ages

  • Sensitive to people of other cultures and all abilities

  • Collaborative

  • Love being outdoors and willing to work outdoors in the heat, humidity, and rain

  • Prepared to live on-site during employment in rustic cabin accommodations (limited electricity and internet)

  • Aren’t bothered by dirt, bugs, or sunscreen

  • Looking for a summer job

  • Experience with children and young adults

  • Preferable RN licensed in Maryland/Virginia or a Compact State; Nursing/ Medical Student, EMT, or Paramedic licensed in Maryland/Virginia is acceptable

  • Currently certified in First Aid and Adult, Child CPR

  • Professional, sensitive individual, with sound judgment, quick action and good management of people in an emergency

About Camp Winona

Camp Winona allows girls in grades K-11 to explore the wonders of the outdoors in a fun, safe, traditional camp setting. Located 35 miles southeast of Washington, DC, in Hughesville, MD, Winona offers a wide variety of programs ranging from weeklong themed specialty activities to two-night minicamps. Winona is owned and operated by Girl Scouts Nation's Capital, the largest Girl Scout council in the country. This summer, following our enhanced health and safety guidelines, girls will safely explore all camp has to offer, including swimming in the pool, tie-dying, exploring nature, teambuilding challenges, and taking aim at target sports.
