Teacher Associate: NICAO's Head Start program is accepting applications for a Teacher Associate in Charles City starting in the 2023-2024 school year. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 hours a day, during the school year only.

Duties Include:

• Assist the teacher in planning and implementing a developmentally appropriate, nurturing, and supportive early childhood program.
• Build relationships with children, families, and staff that follow our program's curriculum and Head Start performance standards.
• Provide a variety of experiences and media that stimulate children to explore and express their creative abilities.
• Eat meals/snacks with children to model and develop positive eating habits.

Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required. Early Childhood Education and/or experience preferred.
• Ability to maintain a professional, positive attitude.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to effectively and efficiently multi-task.
• Pass SING background check with fingerprints (information provided during interview).
• Must be punctual and dependable.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.66 - $16.44 per hour
