Hall Coordinator
Promotes student and residential community success by overseeing the day-to-day initiatives and operations of a 300-1,000 student residence hall through a curricular approach, effective supervision, and individualized student care.
Position is required to live-in and is a 12-month position.

Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in a field relevant to the position or an equivalent combination of related education and experience.
- Professional work experience (typically a minimum of 1 year) in staff supervision, programming, university administration, fiscal management, and with first year student transition in higher education.
- Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to effectively transmit, receive and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through appropriate communication methods and behaviors at a working proficiency level.
- Demonstrated working knowledge and proficiency in use of Microsoft Office software applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Demonstrated commitment to social justice, inclusion, and equity and working with a variety of individuals while appreciating the unique contribution of everyone.
- Demonstrated working proficiency in the ability to collaborate and interact with individuals and groups.
- Demonstrated critical thinking skills with the ability to effectively respond to and manage emergency or crisis situations
- Demonstrated ability to adjust and develop self to prepare for new or changing assignments, processes, people or priorities as organizational needs dictate at a working proficiency level.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of and ability to adhere to established processes and procedures when counseling students to help their emotional, physical, occupational and social development.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Counseling, Student Personnel, Higher Education or related discipline.
- Work experience (typically 1-3 years) in staff supervision, programming, university administration, fiscal management, and with first year student transition in higher education.
- One year of full time live-in residence hall experience.
- Demonstrated experience in creating, designing and implementing residential a curricular learning approach which may include a residential curriculum model, living learning communities, co-curricular learning, etc.
- Demonstrated experience working with student conduct, student care, and/or student outreach.
- Knowledge of intercultural competent assessment methods and activities; ability to asses programs and review students’ learning outcomes to ensure achievement of objectives and strategies; desire to utilize data and assessment methods in Hall Coordinator role.
