JOB SUMMARY:
The Gynecology Advanced Practice Clinician (APC) demonstrates a high level of expertise in gynecologic diagnosis, treatment, consultation, and follow-up of patients under the supervision of one or more physicians. The Gynecology APC orders and interprets test results, recommends treatment of patients, administers therapeutic procedures, prescribes therapy or medication. This position is characterized by an increased complexity of clinical decision-making ability.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education
• Graduate of a physician assistant program and certified by WA State OR • Master of Science in Nursing, Masters of Nursing, or equivalent Nurse Practitioner Degree.
Experience
2 years prior gynecologic experience in clinical area (preferred).
Licensure/Credentials
Current Washington State RN Licensure and current Washington State ARNP with prescriptive authority in Washington State. OR Current Washington State PA-C Licensure and prescriptive authority.
BLS required within 30 days of hire.
Current DEA registration required.
Maintains appropriate privileges and membership on the OMC Medical Staff.
Maintains appropriate Continuing Medical Education (CME) credits per Washington State and OMC Medical Staff requirements.
