Hal Hays Construction, Inc. is looking for experienced GPR Technicians to join our growing and award winning team that can work various job sites throughout Southern California (Riverside County, San Bernardino County, Orange County, Los Angeles County).

Classification: Non-Exempt (hourly)

Compensation is dependent on qualifications/experience. Full benefits available!

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

• Locate and identify underground & overhead utilities safely, efficiently, and at the highest level of quality
• Accurately locate building elements such as post-tension cables, beams, conduit, and rebar
• Coordinate with clients and complete detailed field investigations
• Maintain and calibrate survey equipment & subsurface locating equipment
• Read and interpret utility maps to identify underground utilities
• Communicate effectively with excavators, utility reps, and company personnel using assigned communication equipment
• Operate GPR equipment to locate, mark, and document underground utilities accurately
• Collect and document accurate GPS data
• Ensure all safety policies and procedures are followed by personnel and subcontractors

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of relevant work experience
• Proficient in Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) technology
• Ability to lift heavy objects.
• Walk/Stand for long periods of time.
• Perform strenuous physical labor in outdoor elements.
• Open to working in Southern California (Inland Empire to LA).
• Must have valid DL.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug test/physical/background check.

Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour
