A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A GROOMER

In this full- or part-time animal care position, you keep each pet clean and looking good. First, you warmly interact and listen to owners so you can ensure their requests are filled. You carefully bathe each dog and groom them in the kindest manner. From clipping their nails and cutting fur to brushing their teeth, you do it all! While grooming, you also make sure each pet is comfortable and unharmed.

With attention to detail, you keep the grooming stations locked and clean. You are quick to wipe up spills and pet accidents in order to keep the area safe. Using great communication, you update the receptionists on when the dogs will be finished with their grooming. Whether you are grooming regulars or new guests, you have a lot of fun doing what you do best!

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A GROOMER

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Professional grooming school graduate or equivalent grooming experience
• Proven humane pet handling skills
• Proven leadership skills
