Primary Responsibilities
In this role, we'll count on you to:
- Support the Project Connect team in developing compelling, professional visual design that informs and educates clients, stakeholders, and the public.
- Create, revise, and update a wide range of deliverables including but not limited to exhibits, flyers, maps, infographics, presentations, print advertisements, direct mailers, reports, social media graphics, stylized templates for long documents, logos, and assets for digital engagement and video production teams.
- Collaborate with project managers and project coordinators for content creation and design updates.
- Ensure quality control through approval of proofs and review of materials.
- Perform other duties as needed
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, Graphic Design, Web Design, or combination of education and relevant experience
- 2+ years professional experience
- Knowledge in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign) and Microsoft Office (PowerPoint and Outlook)
- Ability to visually translate technical, complex industry materials into compelling and illustrative designs that succinctly communicate to a broad range of audiences.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and excel in a fast-paced work environment.
- Strong sense of design principles, including color, layout, and ability to create visually solid messaging.
- Ability to design within established standards and visual identity.
- Ability to work with multiple project managers, coordinators, and clients.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with accessibility best practices for web and digital document design.
- Experience refining map assets exported from ArcGIS Pro.
- Samples of previous work or a portfolio of relevant design work
- Video editing and/or simple animation.
