BWXT is currently seeking a Graphic Design Specialist for its Advanced Technologies location in Lynchburg, VA!


BWXT is People Strong, Innovation Driven - be part of BWXT’s innovation hub. BWXT’s Advanced Technologies (AT) group researches, designs, and develops innovative new nuclear reactors, nuclear rocket propulsion systems, and radioisotope production systems for both internal and external customers.

Job Description / Duties:

  • Utilize the latest in multimedia tools and techniques.
  • Design and create compelling marketing and communications materials in support of various BWXT businesses, including print, web, photography, interactive, presentations, video and animation.

Job Qualifications / Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design is required.
  • Must possess a broad range of conceptual design capabilities, covering print, web, and video platforms.
  • Experience in 3D modeling and animation, photography, videography and video encoding is required.
  • Experience with current web development trends and content management systems, and a strong understanding of responsive design, CSS, HTML5, Javascript and Razor is preferred.
  • Experience in weaving multimedia projects together from various media sources (print, web, animation) is required.
  • Must have strong mastery of Adobe Creative Suite, including: Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign, Premiere, Flash and After Effects as well as Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Applicant must be a self-starter, with ability to manage multiple projects independently.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen with no dual citizenship.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) or Department of Defense (DOD) security clearance, whichever is required.
