Job description
The counselor will provide counseling services and leadership training to secondary migrant students and college mentors at the Summer Migrant Youth Leadership Institute at the University of Denver from July 21st to July 31st, 2023. The counselor will also lead presentations to and/or debriefs for youth. The counselor will review any Individual Education Plans and plan any necessary accommodations for the student during the program. The counselor will be available outside of scheduled hours to attend to any student or staff situation requiring a counselor. The counselor will also participate in two video calls in June and one face-to-face meeting with SMYLI staff before the event. This employee will work approximately 125 hours during the contract.
