Equipment Operator/Grounds Keeper

Great Alternative to Landscape Maintenance

Responsible for mowing, operating small equipment and performing all general hands on grooming of the golf course and grounds.

Duties and responsibilities

• Keeps all equipment in good, clean working condition.
• Maintains a clean golf course.
• Reports all problems regarding equipment to the Mechanic and or Superintendent/ Assistant Superintendent.
• Completes duties as directed by supervisor in a timely manner.
• Demonstrates courtesy to all Members and Guests at all times.
• Other duties as needed.

Obeys all safety procedures.

Qualifications

Must be able to listen to and follow instructions, have a good attitude, and a willingness to work. Experience is a plus, but is not required.

Working conditions

Work is primarily outdoors. Potential exposure to sharp and rapid equipment movement, sharp utensils, harmful chemicals and/or being exposed to flying golf balls.

Physical requirements

Good organizational and verbal skills. Ability to use logical and rational thinking to resolve issues. Ability to perform basic mathematical skills, monitors and develops subordinates, visually monitor the operation areas.

Must have the ability to perform moderate physical work and may be required to lift up to 50 lbs., up to 30 lbs. frequently. Perform activities such as bending, kneeling, crouching, climbing, reaching, standing, pushing, lifting and grasping for up to 4 hours without sitting. Ability to consistently lift, carry and load adaptive and other equipment that may weigh 30 or more pounds, and sustain aerobic activity for 20 consecutive minutes.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekend availability

Experience:

• Landscape maintenance: 1 year (Preferred)
• Golf Maintenance: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Required)
